The challenge

Viden Group came to us seeking better IT service delivery - specifically, more responsive support, functional systems, and to be supported by a progressive provider. We modernised and transformed Viden Group’s infrastructure to Microsoft 365 to improve productivity, security, and their ability to work from anywhere on any device.

Our solution

After quickly familiarising ourselves with their existing IT environment we could see Viden Group was not leveraging the full capabilities of their Microsoft 365 licensing, were limited by a lack of easy remote access to data, and that there was room for improved security.

Our solution was to move all their business data from on premise storage to SharePoint Online, which was already licensed for them under Microsoft 365.

Viden Group now has more secure and versioned storage of files, available online anywhere on any device and can also sync locally with Microsoft OneDrive for offline access. We implemented a cloud-based SaaS backup solution that covers files, email and chat history.

We joined all computers to Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), an enterprise cloud-based identity and access management system. This move provided key benefits such as single sign on, better security, and improvement of identity management.

To further strengthen security, we worked with the Viden team to enable Multi Factor Authentication (MFA / 2FA), securing each users Microsoft 365 identity. We worked to onboard all their staff and guided them through installing and using the Microsoft Authenticator app on their smartphones.
